Another Lie by TRAEDONYA!
The singer has found inspiration for her funky jazz music from her training at a jazz conservatory, from such jazz greats as Chico Hamilton, Reggie Workman and Bernard Purdie, and has influence from her upbringing in the Bronx for her single “Beloved,” which was called a Hipopera by the UK press due to her range of octaves and vocal styling.
The ‘The Bride Of New Funk Hipopera” has been singing science childhood and continues to release some great music today. Her style resembles some of the music of Mary J. Blige, Billy Holiday, and the underground sounds of Drum-n-Bass, 2 Step Garage, and Trance.
TRAEDONYA!’s EP ”High Fructose Corn Syrup” is due spring 2014.
