A 21st Century Memoir.

Cut Down But Not Completely Out

I'll Be The Look OutThree years ago I was given an assignment where I was asked to keep a blog. When Communications Week at Cal Poly Pomona came around I decided I should move my series of posts on the school’s intranet to the World Wide Web.

I decided after two years of blogging on Blogger that I would try my hand at WordPress. And so began the overly dramatic tale of “Oregon or Bust.” Now, after Cal State Fullerton’s Communications week has come to a close, I again was inspired to do something different with my blog.

I would like to write less on it.

Writing and posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays is getting to be a little excessive, especially when I have no time after writing graduate papers to write anything else. So after this Friday post I think I want to scale back a bit.

Limiting my posts to music on Mondays, personal/literary posts on Wednesdays, and veggie friendly recipes on Fridays is probably the best way to go. I don’t want to give up publicly blogging online, but I suppose it’s just that time of year when I get the need to make some changes. I’m also sure that many of you are glad to hear that there will be fewer notifications for my blog posts in your inbox.

  1. Good for you, Jasmine! It’s important to honor our feelings. And, when you get the feeling that says “cut back” or “slow down,” it’s important to pay attention. xoA
